Richmond Street West has evolved into one of Toronto's newest neighbourhoods as tens of thousands of people have moved into the area (that extends south to Fort York) in the last decade. To the north, Queen Street West represents a very artistic side of the creative class. The street has been synonymous with Toronto's art scene since the 1970s and today a walk from Spadina to the Gladstone Hotel passes by many dozens of galleries and some of the city's most interesting independent retail stores
